摘要：Resumen El presente Código Deontológico define el conjunto de normativas consensuadas por los miembros de la Asociación de Antropología Biológica Argentina en relación con el estudio, conservación y gestión de restos humanos del pasado. Se basa en el hecho de que los especialistas deben considerar, durante la realización de sus actividades, una serie de premisas relacionadas con sus derechos y obligaciones para con la comunidad, la profesión y su objeto de estudio. El Código subraya que los restos humanos albergados en instituciones museísticas y científicas deben ser tratados con dignidad, sensibilidad y respeto, teniendo en cuenta las características del medio sociocultural en el que desarrollan sus tareas los investigadores. A su vez, explicita los requisitos necesarios para emprender cualquier tipo de estudio o tratamiento ético de restos humanos. Por último, fomenta el desarrollo de procesos de interacción positivos con aquellos sectores de la sociedad que reivindiquen algún tipo de vínculo de pertenencia con restos humanos específicos, atendiendo a su vez, en todo momento, a las regulaciones nacionales y provinciales vigentes. PALABRAS CLAVE manejo de colecciones osteológicas; código profesional; ética; investigación ABSTRACT This Code of Ethics defines the set of regulations agreed by the members of the Asociación de Antropología Biológica Argentina in relation to the study, conservation and management of human remains from past populations. It is based on the fact that specialists, in pursuing their activities, should consider a number of premises in connection with both their rights and obligations towards the community, the profession and its study object. It highlights that human remains stored in museum and scientific institutions should be treated with dignity, sensitivity and respect, taking into consideration the sociocultural environment in which they perform their tasks. In turn, this Code establishes the necessary requirements for undertaking any study or treatment of human remains from an ethical perspective. Finally, it encourages positive interaction with those segments of society which claim some sort of relationship with specific human remains, at all times considering the national and provincial regulations currently in force.
