摘要:This paper describes our experience with introducing modern robo.cs through Robot Opera.ng System. ROS framework allows rapid robot prototyping and gives ac- cess to many state-of-the-art robo.c solu.ons. It is how- ever, soōware oriented and requires its users to under- stand well soōware development ideas and methods. While teaching undergraduate students ROS, we came up with some solu.ons how to introduce it to people with- out a deep background in computer science. The paper presents our Mymodel robot applica.on that simplifies modeling of the robots using URDF format and some Ar- duino based programs. We have also reported results of students' projects.
