摘要:The CREACT is a creativity technique used to develop creative thinking. In the current study the social validity of the CREACT was invest i- gated in thinking skills lessons. The research participants included 307 students who were attending 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in three schools in Eskisehir, Turkey. Four lesson plans were developed using the CREACT for thin k- ing skills courses . Each lesson included a focus concept. The research lasted four weeks with one concept each week. Students were guided by the CREACT form to analyse and discuss the concepts to p roduce new ideas. A que s- tionnaire was administered to students at the end of four weeks of CREA CT instruction to find out students' perceptions about the use of CREACT in teaching thinking skills. The r e- sults showed hig h satisfactions with the use of the CREACT. Students' ratings were found significantly higher than the criteria of 4 (agreement). Eighth graders rated the que s- tionnaire items the high est compared to the other grades . Findings show strong evidence in terms of the social validity or student a c- ceptability of the CREACT
