摘要:The library service level depends largely on the librarian's personal quality unless the library get enough financial and systematical supports of hospital administration. Not a few hospitals have only one library staff, but there is a limit in a librarian's personal efforts. The training programs of the Kinki Hospital Library Association for seven years are traced and the expanding quality differentials in library services among members are described by four types of examples of the Association. At the same time the unsufficiency of the nation-wide health sciences information networks are pointed. The author suggests the requirements for the improvement of the hospital library services: (1) Definition of the functions of the hospital library, (2) Arrangement of the medical information network, (3) Legal standardization of the hospital library systems.
