摘要:This evaluation of medical libraries focused on user satisfaction as one of the performance measures. From June to July 1993, survey questionnaires were distributed to the users and library staff of 9 private university and college medical libraries in Tokyo Prefecture. Among users, satisfaction with regard to medical library services was measured directly. For the library staff, performance was measured through items focusing on services provided to users. By examining the difference between what was important and what was achieved, satisfaction could be measured indirectly. The survey questionnaires found that the medical library services that were highly satisfactory to the users and library staff were both positive and negative services. It was demonstrated that the negative services need to be improved.
