摘要：CD-ROM MEDLINE was adopted for end user search at the library of the Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. Characteristics of CD-ROM MEDLINE options, DIALOG, and SilverPlatter, were evaluated for selection purposes. DIALOG was observed to be substantial in retrieval, while SilverPlatter was low priced and updated monthly. SilverPlatter was judged to be comparatively better because of its frequent updates and good cost performance.
