摘要：The patients' library was opened in the Tokyo Medical University Hospital in June 2006. The medical library staff cooperated with the hospital staff to open the patients' library. This paper gives an outline of the patients' library and details of it's the establishment, the cooperative effort, and it reports on the present situation of the library. In the six months during which the library has been open, we have found some problems and we describe our future plan to cope with those problems. The medical library wants to further support the patients' library by using the resources and experiences of the academic library.
