摘要：In addition to the computerization carried out at the Saiseikai Shimonoseki General Hospital Library and reported in Igaku Toshokan 1987; 34 (3): 224-46, various computer programs have been revised and expanded to make the operation of the library smoother. The library management system used in our hospital library is as follows. [1] Periodical processing: (1) display, input and correction of data; (2) printing of periodical data, eventually to be published in annual reports; (3) retrieval of topics from Japanese periodicals; (4) compiling 10 separate files for storing lists of topics from Japanese periodicals as selected by major subject headings relevant to our studies; (5) print-out of periodical lists for various other purposes. [2] Book control: (1) registration and correction of book data and (2) printing borrower's cards, the accession book and the card catalog. [3] Interlibrary loan procedures: (1) data input; (2)request processing of application forms, return addressed post cards and request letters and envelopes; and (3) reciept processing and printing of accounts, envelopes and copies of bills. [4] Journal binding procedures: (1) registration and correction of binding data; (2) printing specifications for the list to be bound and the list of missing issues; (4) operating the items to fill the binding specifications; (5) arrival data input, printing the list of bound journals and transferring completed data into book form.
