摘要：Correction (erratum) articles are usually found by screening journals, however, this is laborious and time consuming. Accordingly, a study to extract corrections by using databases (Current Contents and MEDLINE) was undertaken. The results showed that searching for them in the databases was not a perfect method, and features of correction information were clarified. Correction information is regulated by the latest manuals for authors and editors, although articles on corrections do not effectively function at present, only in electronic journals on the Internet. Finally, the future of correction information is anticipated.
