摘要：The Sapporo Medical University Library is promoting the development of an integrated medical information retrieval system that will begin operation in the spring of 1999. This system has been constructed from the three following systems and is available through the Internet: 1) library management system, including OPAC, 2) medical article network search system based on OvidNet2, 3) electronic journal system. The purpose of developing this interlocking system is to attempt to unify our library services to make them more convenient and accessible for users. The following are described in this paper: development history and overview of interlocking systems and future prospects of interlocking systems.
