摘要:Stack gas containing phenol and cresols was passed into 0.1 N sodium hydroxide solution, and the solution was acidified with 5 N sulfuric acid, extracted with ether. The ether layer was analyzed by gas chromatography with hydrogen flame ionization detector on a 3 m Dioctyl Sebsate (30%) column at 152°. The flow rate was 70 ml/min of nitrogen, 60 ml/min of hydrogen and 1.0 liter/min of air. Phenol and cresols were removed efficiently by washing waste gas with water or sodium hydroxide solution in a washing column packed with rashig rings.
