  • 摘要:Turbidity of the kaolin suspention was determined by absorbancy, light scattered intensity and visual turbidimetry, and the effect of kaolin particle size, etc., on the turbidity were discussed. Turbidity of kaolin suspension varies according to particle size, principle of the measurement, kind of apparatus and coloring of the samples, etc. Consequently, at least in water analysis, it is necessary to unify the method on light scattered intensity method or light absorbing method. Light scattering method is excellent in sensitivity and range of the determination in instrumental measurements. Visual maching nepherometry will be useful in waste water analysis, and may be better than transmittance grademetry.
