  • 摘要:The distillation method for determination of sorbic acid in some food especially in boiled beans is disturbed by other U. V. absorbing substances probably derived from sugar by heating. Although the distillate must be collected as much as possible in order to obtain sorbic acid in good yield, the contaminating substances also increase in this procedure. These contaminants were found removable by treating with ether and 0.002 N NaOH solution.
