摘要：The local visual properties of liquid-crystal displays were investigated by using an original algorithm and commercial-available system. The extraction and evaluation of “mura”, regions of low-contrast and non-uniform brightness, was successfully accomplished. The algorithm was based on the results of research into sensory analysis and human perception. The sensitivity of the technique was demonstrated by the detection of changes at even the small levels which are perceptible to experienced manufacturing inspectors. The evaluation and judgment of “mura” by our technique closely matched the results of assessment by experienced inspectors.
