  • 摘要:Gas phase reactions of 11 odorous substances with ozone and ozone injection into an activated carbon column to remove odorous substances were investigated. Sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, dimethyl sulfide and dimethyl disulfide easily decomposed to sulfur dioxide in gas phase reaction with ozone. Toluene, m-xylene, isobutanol and butyric acid showed low activity with ozone. Isobutanal decomposed slowly and trimethylamine decomposed rapidly. When ozone was injected into an activated carbon column, large amounts of methyl mercaptan or dimethyl disulfide decomposed even at the column inlet point. Ammonia was partly removed by activated carbon with ozone although it could not be removed without ozone. The amount of hydrogen sulfide decomposed by ozone increased in the presence of ammonia.
