摘要：While there are many kinds of deodorants on the market, their effectiveness and standards for usage are indistinct. Therefore, evaluation tests of 10 deodorants for industrial or house hold use were conducted. Odor substances used for deodorization tests were hydrogen sulfide, dimethyl sulfide, trimethyl amine and toluene. No deodorant showed significant deodorization ability for dimethyl sulfide or toluene; deodorization ability for hydrogen sulfide and trimethyl amine depended on the deodorant. We also conducted a sensory deodorizatin test using a mixture gas of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. There was no deodorant which improved on odor intensity, but some deodorants improved odor hedonics by changing those odor characteristics.
