  • 摘要:The present study was designed to investigate the functional changes in the neuromuscular system with Gonyautoxins (GTXs) administration by electromyography and performed on five adult rabbits. Toxins of GTXs, the major components of paralytic shellfish poison, were isolated from the digestive glands of toxic scallops. Animals were administered with GTXs (5.0MU/kg, 7.0MU/kg or 8.0MU/kg, i. v.) and forced to take the standing posture on a board inclined foreward. The discharges of neuromuscular unit were recorded from the gastrocnemius muscle from immediately after the administration to 3 hours. The abnormal electromyogram patterns obtained were waning, Giant spike, Positive sharp wave and Fibrillation potential. Their patterns suggested that GTXs might exert no influence upon the activity of higher moter nerve system, but it might expect effect on the activity of the spinal moter system, especially end-plate.
