摘要：We conducted interview reserch for the aged in order to help them to lead healty and meaningful lives in their environment, with “IKIGAI” which is something to live for, makes people feel needed and makes life worthwhile. The results are as follows: those who have the feeling of “IKIGAI” show common attitudes towards life, whether they live in their own homes or in nursing homes. They have hobbies or interests, are satisfied with their roles in their homes or in nursing homes, feel happier than they were in the past and are in good health.
