The Global Plant Council (GPC) is a non-profit coalition representing thousands of plant, crop, agricultural and environmental scientists from around the world. Conclusions and recommendations from the discussions held as part of a 2015 GPC symposium on the subject of plant stress resilience form the basis of four commentary papers published in this issue of Food and Energy Security.
