摘要：本研究は,明治時代後期におけるわが国の小学校図画教育の実態を明らかにしようと試みたものである。一小学校におけるものではあるが,首都東京にあって全国的にも影響力を持っていた東京府(青山)師範学校附属小学校の指導実態を,教授細目等教育現場に密着する文献を読み解いて,明治40年改正の小学校令施行規則・「普通教育ニ於ケル図画取調委員会」報告・国定図画教科書『鉛筆画手本』『毛筆画手本』と比較することにより,明確化した。その結果,青山師範附属小学校の実践は,図画取調委員会報告等を踏まえながらも,それを一歩進めた内容のものであった,ということが分かった。
其他摘要：The objective of this study was to clarify the actual state of drawing education in Japanese primary schools in the late Meiji era by investigating the teaching methods and guides employed at the primary school associated with Tokyo Aoyama Normal School. Though just a single school, it is evident through an analysis and comparison of drawing guides that it exercised considerable influence nationwide. Specifically, comparisons were made with Shogakkorei Shiko Kisoku (rules for primary schools) issued in 1907, a report drafted by the Drawing Investigation Committee on standard education, and government-designated drawing textbooks. The results indicate that the state of drawing education at the primary school associated with Tokyo Aoyama Normal School was more advanced than recognized in the report of the Drawing Investigation Committee and was of a higher standard than required by educational guidelines of the period.
