其他标题:The Reformation of the Contents of "Zokei-Asobi" (Playful Art Study) : A Study on the Critical Discourse upon the Contents of "Zokei-Asobi" in the Elementary School Art and Craft Section of the National Course of Study
其他摘要:This article is a sequel to my former ones published in "Bijyutsu-kyoiku-gaku" (The Journal for the Association of the Art Education in Japan) [25] [26]. These two articles focused upon the historical and social background of the revision of the contents of "zokei-asobi" (playful art study) in the elementary school art and craft section of the National Course of Study. This current article has two purposes : (1) to consider critical discourse upon the contents of "zokei-asobi" in elementary school, and (2) to propose the reformation measures of more accountable contents of "zokei-asobi" in the National Course of Study. Japanese art education scholars, Sadahiko Naka (1944-) and Kazuo Kaneko (1950-) have made straightforward and outspoken comments on the contents of "zokei-asobi." In the first part of this article, the critical discourse were analyzed and discussed by focusing upon these two prominent art educators, and then other sources were summarized. In the latter part of this article, reform measures were proposed, including : (1) to reconsider the role of "zokei-asobi" under the present conditions, (2) to correct the art educational policy highly inclined to self-centered orientation or egotism, (3) to clarify the concrete competence and evaluation as indispensable components in art class, and (4) to reconstruct the contents of the whole curriculum in the elementary school art and craft section of the National Course of Study.
