其他摘要:In this article, I tried first to examine in detail about the meaning of individuality, and I considered the place of the concept of individuality in Japanese art education today. This was done by investigating the frequency and meaning in use of individuality in the national curriculum of art education for Japanese elementary and middle schools. Based on this examination, I made reference to those features and issues. By reason that the word of individuality has many meanings, it is also a wide concept. However, in the national curriculum in art education, this word has been used only in the positive sense. This fact is not consistent with the mind's movement on the process of self-development, and the variety of art which is the expression of our mind.
