摘要：本研究は,今日の美術教育が忘れかけている部分に反省を促すことを考え,自由画教育の時代直前の教育方法に視点を当て,明治後期の図画科教育,とりわけその指導の実態に着目したものである。これは連番の論文であり,今回は『新定画帖』を中心に考究した。一小学校におけるものではあるが,首都東京にあって全国的にも影響力を持っていた東京府青山師範学校附属小学校の指導実態を,同校から出された「教授細目」等を中心に読み解き,『新定画帖』の在り方とそれに対する教育現場の見方を探り,考察した。その結果,青山師範附属小の指導法は,『新定画帖』を踏まえながらも,それを一歩進めた内容のものであることが分かった。
其他摘要：The objective of this study was to clarify the actual state of drawing education in Japanese primary schools in the late Meiji Era by investigating the teaching methods and guides employed at the primary school associated with Tokyo Aoyama Normal School. Though just a single school, it is evident through an analysis and comparison of drawing guides that it exercised considerable influence nationwide. Specifically, comparison was made with Shintei-gacho (government-designed new drawing textbook). The results indicate that the state of drawing education at the primary school associated with Tokyo Aoyama Normal School was more advanced than recognized in Shintei-gacho and was of a higher standard than required by educational guidelines of the period.
