其他标题:An Attempt to Interpret "Kan-sei (Aesthesia)" from Affordance Theory and Symbol System Theory in Artistic Thinking : Harvard Project Zero's View Point of Art Education Through the Concepts of Metaphor by Studies of Image Schema
其他摘要:This paper has speculated how to interpret the notion of "kansei" with ambiguity in it based on the results of researches in areas such as perceptual psychology, cognitive psychology and ecological psychology. (1) Interpretations from researches of "Languages and Thinking" long discussed in psychology, Sapia-Whorf hypothesis, and the relationship between culture and languages are verified. (2) "Kansei" is studied in its relationship with metaphors in terms of symbol system theory inheriting affordance theory and the stream of Nelson Goodman, because it is true that artistic thinking and creativity are not described theoretically though affordance theory is highlighted recently. (3) "Kansei" is interpreted semantically in metaphors and analogy based on the achievements by the linguistic researches and image schema researches. "Kansei" unique to the Japanese people has also been studied.
