摘要：Este artículo analiza la evolución del sistema de tranvías en Bogotá y el desarrollo empresarial que lo acompañó en el periodo 1882-1951, para entender la relación de la élite con este proyecto y de qué manera la aparición de nuevas tecnologías de transporte incidieron en el diseño de la ciudad y en la dinámica social y económica, así como su efecto en los sectores populares.
