摘要：This article deals with practical experience gained from non-formal educational offers for senior adults aged 50 and older which provided a first orientation for learning and voluntary engagement in their post-professional phase. It is often assumed that the heterogeneous target group of senior adults lack learning or educational goals since they are no longer oriented towards the labour market. In fact, there is only a great deal of disorientation: Senior learners have a great need for educational measures, but they are seldom considered to be a separate target group by adult education and thus have a hard time finding their way on the adult education market. In addition, they only have little or insufficient knowledge of the possibilities for voluntary engagement in old age. The article discusses the diversity of the target group, experiences from a practical workshop series featuring senior adults, marketing strategies for reaching out to the target group, and the challenges resulting from them in the education work with older people.
