摘要：Le delta du fleuve Tana au Kenya est un espace disputé : s’y confrontent agriculteurs et éleveurs, tenants de la grande agriculture irriguée et défenseurs de la zone humide, tandis que les nombreux plans de gestion (et cartographies associées) produits par les différents services de l’État et ONG sont contradictoires. Ce texte discute des écueils voire du caractère risqué de l’utilisation de l’outil de cartographie participative appliqué à un territoire marqué par de telles tensions. L’adéquation de la démarche de cartographie participative à une compréhension des dynamiques territoriales dans l’espace complexe et multi-usages d’un delta est interrogée et différents outils et démarches alternatives sont envisagés.
其他摘要：The Tana River Delta in Kenya is a disputed area where farmers and pastoralists, supporters of large-scale irrigation and wetland conservation advocates confront each other while the many management plans (and associated maps) produced by various government services and NGOs are contradictory.This paper discusses the pitfalls and even the risky nature of the use of participatory mapping when applied to a territory characterized by such tensions. The adequacy of the participatory mapping approach to an understanding of territorial dynamics in the complex and multi-use space of a delta is questioned and alternative tools and approaches are considered.
