摘要：RESUMO Os autores descrevem uma nova espécie de Diptera-Simuliidae, o Simulium mutucuna, de material coligido no Território Federal de Roraima, no trecho da estrada BR-174, localidade denominada Campinho, próximo à fronteira com a Venezuela. Embora procurassem formas imaturas em riachos próximos, somente um adulto foi capturado atacando dentro da mata.
