摘要：Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é escrutinar as críticas tecidas pelo filósofo estadunidense Patchen Markell aos autores situados no campo das teorias do reconhecimento, reconstruindo, por meio de seus questionamentos, as obras dos pesquisadores com os quais ele se propôs a dialogar, e indicando, por intermédio desse procedimento, inconsistências em suas problematizações, decorrentes do fato de Markell não ter avaliado adequadamente o percurso argumentativo adotado pelos autores. O estudo toma como eixo central a obra Bound by Recognition, publicada por Markell em 2003, e a análise permitiu, inclusive, apontar que, a despeito da contribuição oferecida pelo autor com a proposição de uma política do acknowledgment, tal projeto teórico não se delineia como a panaceia de incongruências associadas ao reconhecimento, mas se insere na mesma agenda das teorias que aventa questionar.
其他摘要：Abstract The aim of this paper is to scrutinize the critiques made by the American philosopher Patchen Markell to the authors situated in the field of theories of recognition, reconstructing, through their questions, the works of researchers with which he proposed dialogue, and indicating through this procedure inconsistencies in their problematizations, arising from the fact that Markell has not evaluated properly the argumentative route adopted by these authors. The study takes, as central axis, the work Bound by Recognition, published in 2003 by Markell, and the analysis has even point out that despite the contribution made by the author with the proposition of a politics of acknowledgment, this theoretical project does not outlines as the panacea of problems associated with recognition, but it is characterized as a proposal inserted in the same agenda of the theories that was suggested to question.
