摘要：OBJETIVO: Mapear a produção de conhecimento sobre juventude na pós-graduação stricto sensu dentro da grande área da saúde, segundo classificação da Cooperação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), na busca por contribuir com estudos acerca do Estado da Arte sobre o tema e sínteses do conhecimento já acumulado. FONTE DE DADOS: Pesquisa sistemática de revisão de literatura, nos moldes Estado da Arte, com investigação no Banco de Teses da CAPES, abrangendo as dissertações e teses disponibilizadas entre 1987 (primeiros registros) e 2010. SÍNTESE DOS DADOS: Após seleção dos trabalhos que pertenciam à Grande Área de Saúde - CAPES e respondiam aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, totalizaram-se 2.953 dissertações e teses que foram divididas em eixos temáticos, objetivando o reconhecimento de seu principal enfoque. Deste total, a maior parte dos trabalhos (53,3%) apresentou abordagem em aspectos epidemiológicos, clínicos e laboratoriais. CONCLUSÃO: A produção na pós-graduação em saúde ainda é bastante recente e dispersa ao se debruçar sobre a juventude. Prevalece uma leitura empírica da categoria em mais de 90% dos trabalhos, com tendência no enfoque nos problemas de doença. Destaca-se a necessidade de aprofundamento de um debate social acerca das relações juventude-saúde, e aponta-se para a necessária superação de leituras que dimensionam a juventude dentro de aspectos individualizantes.
其他摘要：OBJECTIVE: Map the production of knowledge about youth in Health Science stricto sensu post graduation courses according to the classification of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES, Brazil) aiming to contribute to studies on the State of the Art of this theme, as well as to the synthesis of accumulated knowledge. DATA SOURCE: Systematic survey of literature review, along the lines of the State of the Art, with search in CAPES' database covering dissertations and theses made available between 1987 (first record) and 2010. DATA SYNTHESIS: After the selection of papers that belonged to the Health Science Broad Field - CAPES and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 2953 dissertations and theses were divided by themes, seeking the acknowledgment of their main approach. Most of these studies (53.3%) addressed epidemiological, clinical and laboratory aspects. CONCLUSION: Post graduation courses on Health Science still present a rather incipient and scattered picture concerning studies on youth. An empirical reading prevails in over 90% of the work, with a trend to address health issues. This survey shows the need for further development of a social debate regarding the relations between youth and health, and points to the necessity to overcome readings that scale youth within individualizing aspects.
