摘要：During the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Europe was forged in the myth of the Judeo-Masonic conspiracy-communist, whose goal was world domination. It quickly spread throughout the continent, including Spain, becoming a universally accepted truth for social sectors linked to the right and the extreme right. In 1932, the Carlists, by publishing a brochure, accused their former allies, the Basque nationalists, to be involved in this conspiracy. To defend against this serious charge, which could weaken its electoral base, the Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) turned to the Catholic Church hierarchy, seeking to overrule political rivals. However, did not get a positive response, the matter being tackled by a defeat of the Basque nationalists.
