摘要：The traffic density rising in recent years has been lowering people’s standards of living. It is an important necessity to be protected from the noise and prevent it from happening that affects people’s health negatively. A great deal of studies carried out so far, have aimed at eliminating the existing noise or seeking protection from it. The most efficient way of fighting noise is planning before construction rather than taking precautions for the already existing noise. Especially for the lands to be cleared for new settlements, simulation of traffic noise maps can be prepared for the likely situations in the future, considering the implementation plans along with road width and other factors likely to create noise and topography structure and meteorological conditions. n this study, it has been explained how traffic noise values are calculated, how strategic spots are specified and how to integrate the noise maps into the implementation plans. A numerical solution has been executed via a software program prepared in Visual Studio 2013 C# Panel supporting the study. As a result of the computing, especially on busy streets where traffic density is expected to be high, the necessity of the setback distance for the front yard to be larger in order to keep away from the noise has been revealed.
