  • 摘要:Background: Along with the rapid development of information technology, the spread of rumor has an increasing influence on our everyday life. However, the educational campaigns play a vital role in preventing the transmission of rumor. Objective & Method: The purpose of this paper is to analyze a simplified SEIR rumor model with a control of educational campaigns, including ignorants (S) , incubators (E) , spreaders (I) and stiflers (R) by using mathematical analytical methods and optimization tools, and the optimal educational campaign strategy is explored by means of the classical method of the Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle. Conclusion: An explicit solution of optimal control is established, which can come to conclude that the practice of reducing the rate of connection between the ignorant and spreaders can be realized by using educational campaigns with the maximum effort such that the total outbreak size of rumors is to minimize. Finally, some numerical illustrations are given by way of simulation experiments. In a word, this paper can provide some useful intervention strategy to regulate the spread of rumor.
