摘要：ABSTRACT: Present study was undertaken to explore the gross anatomy of the trachea in the black kite. It was widest at the level of glottis and became gradually narrower after 5 th cartilaginous ring. Terminal 1/4 th part of the trachea became gradually wider again towards bronchi, but near the origin of bronchi it became narrower again. Larynx was formed by cricoid, procricoid and paired arytenoid cartilages. Major portion of all the three laryngeal cartilages was ossified. The syrinx was located near the beginning of bronchi and composed mainly of bronchial parts. KEY WORDS: Black kite, Trachea, Gross Anatomy.
