摘要：This paper addresses the issue of economic efficiency of reforestation by comparing potential model direct costs of reforestation when bareroot and container planting stock is used. Potential model direct costs of bareroot and container-plant reforestation were calculated for the Czech Republic, differentiating them by particular operations starting with soil preparation and planting up to the end of the first age class (20-year-old stands) as this is the point where the intensive tending and cost burden comes to an end. Direct costs were calculated for four main target forest managements in the Czech Republic: Norway spruce, Scots pine, beech, and oak. The lowest mean direct costs are confirmed in Norway spruce target management: 224,606 CZK/ha for bareroot hole planting, 208,620 CZK/ha for combined hole and slit planting, 231,370 CZK/ha for container planting; in Scots pine target management: 304,403 CZK/ha for bareroot hole planting, 229,029 CZK/ha for combined hole and slit planting, 281,582 CZK/ha for container planting; in oak target management: 252,497 CZK/ha for bareroot hole planting, 240,697 CZK/ha for combined hole and slit planting, 242,518 CZK/ha for container planting; in beech target management: 309,175 CZK/ha for bareroot hole planting, 294,366 CZK/ha for combined hole and slit planting, 311,925 CZK/ha for container planting.
