摘要:The diagnosis and monitoring of landfill sites are important environmental issues. In this context, geophysical methods can give a lot of information, because the presence of a contaminant in soil or groundwater changes the electrical properties of the medium. This paper presents the results of the application of electrical tomography at Landfill of Berkane. Six profiles were carried out between 2006 and 2015 in and outside the Landfill with lengths ranging from 115 to 235m. They show the distribution of electrical resistivity in the basement at depths of 20 to 50m. The profile performed above the first cell indicates that the layer of waste mixed with leachate has a thickness of about 8m and very low electrical resistivity between 0.5 and 10 Ωm. Profiles performed in the vicinity of the cell show two electrical layers : a subsurface layer characterized by a thickness from 5 to 15 meters and very high resistivity values up to 200 Ωm; it overlies a highly conductive layer (resistivity values varies from 3 to 10 Ωm). This last layer is associated to the water table at depths ranging from 5 to 15m. The low resistivity values are related to the high mineralization of groundwater. The study attributes this mineralization mainly to geological and hydrogeological context; nevertheless it does not exclude a possible pollution due to leakage of leachate into groundwater.
