摘要:Excessive water demand observed in several areas (domestic, agricultural and industrial) generates huge amounts of water loaded with organic and inorganic pollutants with little or no biodegradable. The production of these effluents is not without consequences on human health, wildlife and flora. To reduce the effects of these contaminants, many wastewater treatment processes are being developed in particular the technique of adsorption. Our study focuses on the use of the cactus as a new adsorbent for removal of methylene blue which is a cationic dye. We performed a comparative study of the cactus Marrakech noted CM (Morocco) and Lomé noted CL (TOGO). Characterization by techniques such as IR and the SEM of its adsorbents was also performed. Tests carried out on colored solutions of methylene blue showed rapid elimination in the first 20 minutes for both adsorbents. Several parameters such as pH, the mass of the adsorbent and the concentration of the adsorbate were also studied. For example, we find that pH = 12,5 is obtained elimination of up to 72,38% for CM and 71,22% for CL.
