摘要：Los moluscos terrestres son un grupo altamente diverso cuyo trabajo investigativo en Nicaragua ha sido mayoritariamente en la vertiente del Pacífico de Nicaragua. Evaluar el potencial de estas especies como indicadores de la perdida de la masa boscosa así como de su recuperación ayudará el impacto de las actividades humanas en esta biota de escasa movilidad. La colectas de conchas y especímenes fué realizada en bosques húmedos, nubosos y secos en los departamentos de Rivas y Jinotega en hábitats específicos dentro de la matrix del paisaje. Las identificaciones a posteriori fueron hechas para evitar el sesgo de identificaciones en especies de taxonomía debatible. Los hábitats forestales continuos mostraron valores mayores en biodiversidad que otros hábitats dentro de la matrix, mostrando que existe fidelidad de hábitat para la comunidad de caracoles en general. Esta alta fidelidad, muestra la importancia de este grupo cuando tratamos de obtener especies de fidelidad alta, ayudando a explicar cómo la perdida de bosque afecta a la fauna.
其他摘要：Land mollusks are a highly diverse group which has been sampled mostly at the Nicaragua pacific shore. Evaluating their potential as indicators of deforestation-forest recovery will help us understand how this less mobile biota is being affected by human activities. Shell sampling was done at wet, cloud, and dry biomes in Nicaragua’s Jinotega and Rivas departments, collecting in specific habitats of the landscape matrix. A posteriori identification was done at the laboratory to avoid bias and miss-identifications on field. Continuous forest habitats have shown higher diversity in comparison with other habitats in the same matrix, showing that some species have fidelity with forest cover habitats, and the species composition is also higher in big continuous masses of forest. A higher diversity in areas of forest coverage, mostly in big areas, and some species’ fidelity to forest presence, show the importance of this group when we seek highly sensitive species that can explain how the loss of forest coverage affects the fauna.
