S’il est évident que les formes nominales d’adresse (FNA) ont une fonction allocutive, c’est-à-dire d’instaurer ou de maintenir une relation avec l’interlocuteur, elles ont parfois aussi une fonction prédicative. Nous essaierons de décrire le fonctionnement de la prédication dans les FNA, par une réflexion sur le rapport entre posé et présupposé, par l’analyse des relations entre thème et rhème, ainsi que par la question de la prédication par l’emploi d’un nom propre.

If nominal forms of address (NFAs) have an evidently allocutive function, that is to say the function to establish and maintain a relation with the interlocutor, they sometimes also have a predicative function. In this paper, we will try to describe the functioning of predication in NFAs though a reflection on the relationship between posed and pre-supposed information, though the analysis of the relation between theme and rheme, and by examining the question of predication through the use of proper nouns.
