摘要:So as to achieve better indexes of articular mobility, it will be necessary to establish a change of structure which determines the function of the tissues which are directly involved in the process. We know for sure that the parts of the anatomy that greater difficulties offer to the processes of stretching are represented by the thick, tidy tissues that are to be found on the level of the articular capsule, ligaments, tendons and layers of muscular wrapping. Collagen is the main molecule that constitutes these tissues showing an elevated power of restitution when it is submitted to traction forces, by virtue of its structure and molecular and intermolecular organization. To make improvements in the work of stretching, it is fundamental to gradually reduce the response of restoration of the tissues before the traction stimuli. In the same way, we have to manage to reduce this power of opposition within the optimum margin of the so-called "area of elastic deformation", which, at all times, ensures the condition of elasticity in the body tissues. All this process will be made more efficient through the "fatigue phenomenon" of the collagenous tissues and by virtue of the "Principle of Continuity" in the exertion.
