摘要：Congenital intestinal obstruction is one of the most common neonatal surgical pathologies. Prenatal sonographic diagnosis is usually late and the diagnostic sensitivity is variable. This diagnosis compared with postnatal diagnosis improves prognosis and this fundamentally depends on underlying cause, level of obstruction, length of affected bowel, weight and gestational age at birth. We report a case of prenatal diagnosis of jejuno-ileal obstruction at 32 weeks, which was caused by an intestinal volvulus. In spite of prenatal diagnosis and early surgical treatment, intestinal volvulus is an etiology with poor prognosis, resulting in death in this case at 54 days of life secondary to a septic shock and a short bowel syndrome.
