摘要：To comprehend the image of a sportsman generally assumed, in the framework of space structure, 3889 samples were chosen at random from high-school students, their parents, and teachers of both sexes, all they were asked to respond to 30 questions. As the traits of sportsman-like character, we found some common answers such as Healthy, Enduring, Bright and Lively, regardless of their present or former sports experiences, except a few different response among teachers. Since some of its traits seemed to conditioned by traditional way of thinking and social backgrounds of the times, further intensive studies are necessary to generalize a sportsman-like character.
