摘要:Wild mushrooms are one of the most important non-timber forest products (NTFP) in Nepal. The use of wild mushrooms as food began from prehistoric time. Tamangs are regarded as one of the Nepalese ethnic groups which are most dedicated mycophagous. This paper address the uses of wild mushrooms among the Tamangs of different parts of Nepal. At least 49 taxa of fungi are used as sources of nutrition and medicinal agents and are sold at the markets whereas the rest are used for local consumption. Accidents with lethal mushroom poisoning are rare but information on treatment of poisoning include vinegar and several local herbs.Nepal Journal of Science and Technology Vol. 7, 2007
