摘要:It seems that feelings of job insecurity are an important problem in the global context. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationships between employability, job insecurity and burnout of employees. Furthermore, the buffering effect of employability in the relationship between job insecurity and burnout was also investigated. Hypotheses were tested on 154 white collar employees who are working for a newly privatized industrial enterprise in Turkey. A positive relationship was confirmed between job insecurity and burnout. Results also supported that there is a moderating role of employability between job insecurity and burnout. Accordingly, it was observed that as the employees' perceptions of employability increases, they were less affected by burnout. These results suggest that employability is an important resource in coping with the negative outcomes of job insecurity after the privatization. The results have implications for practitioners and future research.
