摘要：In recent times economist have conducted research, from both theoretical and empirical perspectives, for identifying the fundamental reasons of economic growth. Although the theoretical propositions varied, however there is a general consensus that the historical (fundamental) variables substantially influence economic growth across countries. We find that the fundamental causes identified across various specifications, time periods and population, exhibit remarkable consistency in terms of their impact on economic growth.
