摘要：Este trabalho investiga se a capacidade instalada de produção de mudas na região norte do Estado do Rio de Janeiro é suficiente para suprir as exigências mínimas impostas pela lei para a preservação de árvores nativas. A legislação brasileira determina Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APP) e de Reserva Legal (RL) que deveriam ter a biodiversidade de suas formações vegetais preservada. Para que isto se cumpra, é necessário que a disponibilidade de mudas de espécies arbóreas nativas seja suficiente em quantidade e qualidade. Os dados apurados apontam a necessidade de subsidiar a oferta de mudas para viabilizar o atendimento à legislação.
其他摘要：This work investigates the installed capacity of seedlings of native trees in the northern region of Rio de Janeiro is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements set by law for the preservation of native trees. Brazilian law determines areas of permanent preservation (APP) and legal reserves (RL) which should have its biologically vegetation preserved. For this is fulfilled, it is necessary that the availability of seedlings of native trees species is suffi cient in quantity and quality. Th e data collected point to the need to subsidize the provision of seedlings to permit compliance with legislation.
