摘要：The purpose of this study is to perform a comparative analysis of specific allocations of social work in Romania, compared to the local macroeconomic context. The study is estimating the influence of social benefits on the labor market. Based on the National Institute of Statistics and the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection data, the authors used data envelopment analysis in order to determine the effectiveness of social assistance benefits management related to poverty. The research findings offer a performance measurement tool of social assistance, which can be used as a mechanism for risk analysis in social work, which reveals a heterogeneous management at county level with influence on the labor market. Furthermore, the study also provides a tool for evaluating the effectiveness of management and control processes regarding the redistribution of budgetary allocations for social assistance.
