摘要：Este trabalho tem como objetivo apontar o caráter simbólico que envolve alguns objetos arquitetônicos pós-modernistas na cidade de Maringá. Para isto, buscou-se traçar um paralelo entre as condições contemporâneas na concepção arquitetônica da cidade, bem como o discurso vigente da Geografia caracterizado por abordagens plurais do espaço urbano. Utilizaram-se algumas ideias propostas por Baudrillard (1995) sobre os signos de consumo que objetivam a distinção social, bem como algumas discussões de Claval (2011), Tuan (1980) e D’Alessio Ferrara (1999) que justificam a pluralidade paradigmática nas discussões da Geografia, especialmente sobre o espaço urbano. Por meio de um questionário qualitativo, buscou-se extrair os traços perceptivos dos indivíduos sobre o contexto e a inserção de alguns edifícios em bairros centrais, articulando as sensações percebidas sob a prisma da Gestalt. Conclui-se que o objetivo central destes objetos – em diferenciarem na paisagem – foi atingido parcialmente, entretanto, causaram associações de ideias semelhantes nos entrevistados.
其他摘要：This work aims to point out the symbolic character involving some post-modernistarchitectural objects in the city of Maringá. For this, we sought to draw a parallel between the conditions in contemporary architectural design of the city, as well as the prevailingdiscourse of geography characterized by plural approaches of urban space. We usedsome ideas proposed by Baudrillard (1995) about the signs of consumption that aim atsocial distinction, as well as some discussions Claval (2011), Tuan (1980) and D'AlessioFerrara (1999) to justify the plurality in the paradigmatic discussions of geography, especially on the urban space. Through a qualitative questionnaire, we attempted toextract the perceptual characteristics of the individuals on the context and the insertion of some buildings in central districts, articulating the sensations perceived in the light of theGestalt. It is concluded that the main objective of these objects - to differentiate the landscape - was partially achieved, however, resulted in similar associations of ideasinterviewed.
