摘要:Nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) is a common problem within the adolescent population all over the world .Suicide is the third leading cause of death for youth and for which one of the risk factor is a history of non-suicidal self-injurious behavior [1]. It has been introduced as a new diagnostic category in DSM-5. The DSM-5 defines NSSI as 5 or more days of engaging in self-injurious behavior that is performed with the motive of causing bodily harm but lacks suicidal intent [2].
