摘要：The purpose of this study is to develop a research model using prior research and to investigate the influence of selfcontrol,time spent on Internet and relationship satisfaction on Internet addiction. The model includes the impact ofself-control, the time spent on the Internet, and the relationship satisfaction on Internet addiction. We postulate thatInternet addiction in its turn impacts academic success. The model was tested by using survey data and the resultsshowed a relationship between self-control and time spent on Internet and Internet addiction. The study data did notsupport any significant connection between relationship satisfaction and the Internet addiction, as well as betweenInternet addiction and academic success.
